Kick off Easter weekend in style! The holiday is the perfect time to showcase the best spring trends. I'm loving florals, ruffles, seersucker, embroidered details and more — the girlier the better! It's supposed to be 80 degrees in Illinois this weekend so I can't wait to finally wear looks like these on Easter and beyond.

Springtime in D.C.

Last weekend, my mom and I took a last minute trip to Washington, D.C.! I will be interning there this summer and had never been so I wanted to familiarize myself with the city and figure out my living situation. I have to say, it was love at first sight. It was pouring when we arrived but I already loved the charming streets of colorful rowhouses and history around every corner. We were only there for the weekend, but I was sure to make a quick stop at Georgetown Cupcake — those cupcakes are so worth the hype! We also went to the famous Tidal Basin by the Jefferson Memorial where the National Cherry Blossom Festival takes place. Unfortunately, many of the blooms that surround the water died, but we were still able to see some beautiful trees. I can't wait to explore the city more this summer and I can already think of so many fun blog opportunities, so stay tuned!

Street to Swim

I didn't take a ton of blog pictures on my trip but I thought I would share how I styled my swimsuits! There is so much more to do in Miami than just the beach so I wanted to have outfits that could transition from the street to swimming. On one day I wore this flowy white romper as a swim coverup, which easily doubled as a cute outfit for brunch.

On another day I wore this black swimsuit from Missguided! I love the trendy tassels and since they cover a bit more, I chose to wear it as a crop top on the street with high-waisted denim shorts. I also added some fun turquoise accessories for a pop of color. By the way, if you are a college student, Missguided has an amazing student discount so don't check out without it!
